Balayage in Orlando, FL: Soft,
Hand-Painted Dimension
Want sun-kissed color that grows out softly? As a balayage specialist, I paint every piece by hand.
20+ Years Of Experience | Fine Hair Specialist | Licensed Cosmetologist
You've saved the photos. You've also seen balayage that looked stripy or flat on hair like yours. I paint each piece by hand, so the placement follows your cut and the way you wear your hair. Balayage should look like the sun did it, not a stencil. That's the result I build for you.
When You Need Balayage
Balayage fits if you want brighter pieces without a harsh line at the root. It's a smart move when a past lightening service grew out with a hard edge, or when you want a softer, lived-in look.
It also suits fine hair that needs more dimension. If your color already feels flat, waiting only makes that flatness harder to ignore. A conversation with me is the easiest place to start.
Our Balayage Process
We start with a conversation, and a full consultation is included in your regular appointment. I look at your hair's texture and condition, then check what color is already on it.
You show me photos of what you love, and I tell you honestly what will work on your hair. Then I hand-paint the color where light would naturally hit, placing each piece by eye so the result suits your cut. Before you leave, I show you how to care for your color at home.
What Affects Balayage Cost
Balayage cost depends on how much of your head we paint and how light you want to go. Longer, thicker hair takes more product and more time. Your starting color and any color already on your hair also shape the plan, since some hair needs extra steps before it lifts evenly. I'll map out what yours involves at your consultation.
Why Choose Me
As a hair stylist, I bring more than 20 years of experience and a Florida cosmetology license to every balayage. I trained with Vidal Sassoon and Paul Mitchell, and later with Arrojo. Hand-painting is where I slow down, because placement is what makes balayage look natural on you. My hair color salon is at 1910 Alden Rd, Suite 101, minutes from Loch Haven Park.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is balayage applied?
Balayage is applied freehand. I paint each piece by hand, following your cut and where light naturally falls, rather than working to a fixed pattern. That's what gives it a softer grow-out and a natural look. I place every piece with your hair in mind, so no two balayage appointments look alike.
Can fine hair have balayage?
Yes. Fine hair often benefits from dimension, and painting by hand lets me control exactly where the color goes. Fine hair is my specialty, so I check how much lightening your strands can handle and keep hair health in front of the finished look.
Should I bring photos?
Yes. What reads as subtle to one person can look bold to another, and photos close that gap. I read them against your hair texture and cut, then tell you honestly what will work on your hair. Bring a few angles if you can.
Can I get balayage if my hair is already colored?
Often, yes, but it depends on what's on your hair now and how healthy it is. I check both at your consultation, then tell you what's realistic and how many appointments it may take. I'd rather plan it honestly than rush it.
How do I protect balayage from the sun in Orlando?
The American Academy of Dermatology notes that sun weakens hair and fades color, and that dyed or lightened hair is especially vulnerable. It suggests wearing a wide-brimmed hat outdoors. I also recommend sulfate-free and sodium chloride-free products and the Hairstory line, and I show you how to use them before you leave.
